Happy 250th Birthday America!!
This quilt was donated to us last year as just a top with lots of extra fabric for the backing material. The really cool part... it was pieced in 1975! It is safe to assume that the woman who started this top had every intention of it being in honor of America's 200th birthday but for some reason it never got finished. We received it in a bankers box sometime in 2024 or 2025 and put it in such a safe place we only found it after a small flood in our workroom back in April! Lucky for us, it was inside a plastic bag. Our long arm quilter took it home, made the backing, quilted and bound it just in time to hang it for the 250th anniversary of America! Thank you to our mystery piecer!

We did a small presentation at the Fox Hill Neighborhood Center explaining who we are and then handed out kits for them to sew together for us.

Sheri presented to the Kiwanis Club of Grafton. She did a quick show and tell and told them all about our organization!

We had 167 quilts blessed at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Newport News!!

We showed up to support the Classic Cruisers Car Club at their Phoebus Car Show today! What a great show it was!
Calie, Sheri and a couple other angels showed up to the Fellowship Quilters Guild Quilt Show in Hampton to drool over beautiful quilts and show our support!
Calie & Sheri dropped off the 2025 Raffle Quilt to the winner! Congratulations Cathy D!
April 9 - April 11, 2026
Our first Thank You Retreat was a blast! Our fabric vendor says that she did very well! We will be inviting her back in the future. We played games, ate way to much, got a few projects of our own finished and we even had a surprise guest join us... all the way from Iowa!! Thank you to every one who came and shopped, came and took free items away, came and climbed Mount Scrapmore and came for the retreat! On Thursday Peninsula Head Start stopped by and picked up 25 quilts and Kidz ‘n Grief stopped in and picked up 10 quilts. We also donated a quilt to a little girl from Illinois who popped in with her guardian. That is all I can say about the retreat, because “What Happens at Retreat, Stays at Retreat!”
On April 2, 2026 Sheri, Elizabeth, Wendy and Calie dropped off 55 pet beds made using the little scraps from quilts we make to the Animal Aid Society!
On March 31, 2026 Calie and Sheri dropped off 115 baby quilts, 9 crochet blankets and 52 burp clothes to Carenet in Newport News.
Our first quilt blessing of 2026! March 8th, 8 am and 10:30 am services at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. These 80 quilts will be going to York County Social Services, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Peninsula Head Start and Carenet.
