Welcome to Peninsula Angel Quilters
Our Story
We are a 100% volunteer run 501(c)3 non-profit organization that makes and donates quilts to children in need in the Hampton Roads area.
Our volunteers have a wide variety of skills and expertise in quilting and sewing, ranging from beginners to seasoned quilters. Whether you just learned how to turn on a sewing machine, or are a seasoned pro, we would love to have you join us!

In addition to donating to children in need, we strive to be as zero-waste as possible by recycling our scraps into pillowcases, sewing them shut and donating them to local animal shelters to be used as pet beds.
We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 3pm at 45 Main Street in Newport News, VA.
This is our 2025 Raffle Quilt. We will be selling tickets at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in Hampton, VA from Thursday, February 26 to Sunday March 1st. Then it will hang at Sunshine Quilt Corner in Newport News. Tickets are $5 each. Ticket sales end on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. We will draw the winning ticket live on Facebook on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 6:30 pm.
This quilt was made by our volunteers. Several made the blocks, a few donated the fabrics, one long arm quilted it and another bound it.
Quilt measures as a small twin at 72 inches by 83 inches.

How You Can Help
We are always in need of long armers to help us quilt our beautiful tops.
Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated. They help us buy batting and pay our rent. You can make a monetary donation via PayPal by clicking the "Donate" button.
Attend one of our monthly sewcials.
Donation of fabric, batting, thread, notions or other sewing supplies are always needed and greatly appreciated.

Enroll you Kroger card by visiting: http://www.kroger.com. Once logged into your Kroger account you can search for Peninsula Angel Quilters either by name or CI515 and then click Enroll. A percentage of your purchase will then be donated to Peninsula Angel Quilters.
Join Us!!
We meet in the basement of St. Andrews Episcopal Church located at
45 Main Street in Newport News.
Our entrance is off of River Road through the playground, we have signs to help lead the way.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am-3:00pm
Although we meet in the basement of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, we are not a ministry of the church. We are a stand alone 501(c)3 Non-Profit that rents the basement from the church.
Our meet ups are very informal, free and open to the public. Come and go as you wish. You do not have to bring anything other than food and drink for yourself. We have sewing machines, fabric and all the supplies you will need to make quilts! Although, if you just love your machine and your tools feel free to bring those.

We will not be meeting up on Tuesday the 7th or Thursday the 9th because of this event
Join us at the Poqouson Diner on Monday, April 13th at 6 pm to help us celebrate our 3rd anniversary. This event is open to everyone and is pay for your own. We will be drawing the raffle quilt winner at 6:30!
